Parents, educators, and professionals who have or work with Exceptional Student Education (ESE) students know that these learners have atypical circumstances, challenges and interests. A Special Education PTA (SEPTA) understands that traditional programs might not always fully address the unique challenges faced by these students.

At our core, our mission is to promote inclusive educational experiences and unlock the full potential of all students: Every child. One Voice.

Here, you’ll find a warm and welcoming community where you can

  1. Connect with others who share similar experiences and understand the specific needs of our ESE students.
  2. Be part of special trainings, workshops, and events unique to ESE needs
  3. Understand and navigate the education system and rights under the law.
  4. Become an advocate for these students and help them reach their full potential

A SEPTA does not take the place of a local school PTA nor any other PTA organization. We encourage all SEPTA members to participate in their local PTAs, though it is not required. Participation in your local PTA(s) will provide general PTA and school-based programming, events, and participation opportunities that our county-wide SEPTA may not.
